Between a rock and a hard-case

Posted on August 27th, 2007

Ah, the glamorous life of an account person, stuck between clients ("Make the logo bigger.") and creatives ("No."). I can't imagine it's an easy gig.

Jamie and I try very, very hard to be guys people actually enjoy working with. Contrary to the comic, neither of us has ever freaked out on a colleague. We've seen it happen and it's just not cool. That's not to say we're not passionate about the work, but I don't need to make somebody cry to do my job.

Of course, I could be deluding myself. It's entirely possible everybody hates us and can't afford to let it show. That's power, baby!

And the winner is...

Way to work the RSS feed, Chris! Your new position comes with a six-figure salary and use of the company jet.*

Thanks very much to everyone who entered and my apologies for not being able to reply to all your e-mails individually.

What would an advertising site be without the fine print? Here goes: Any reference to actual brands on this site is for satirical purposes only and is in no way endorsed by their parent companies
or the agencies that represent them. Neither is any harm intended towards the aforementioned brands, companies and agencies. Quite the contrary — we may well come begging for a job one day.
And really, wouldn't you rather sue Adbusters?
