September 25th, 2006 Two things, right off the bat: 1) In my heart, I know I could outfight zombie chickens; 2) If you're a new reader, this probably isn't the best place to start. As for the thousands who read the comic but skip the words vs. pictures debate (soon to be retitled The Unpopular Writer Takes His Weekly Beating), you need to know that last week's argument was a battle royale so earthshaking it actually spilled over into our real lives as I tried to convert every person we met into a hen-slayer. I should care so much about world hunger. If you're still struggling with the comic, it might help to imagine us speaking Thai with the English dialogue appearing as subtitles on a movie screen. For best results, try imagining I was clever enough to write a comic that didn't require three paragraphs of explanation to work. -Graham P.S.
