Welcome to the Desert of the Real

You win this round, consumers. I hope you're proud of yourselves.

In addition to killing testimonials and celebrity endorsements with a lethal injection of truth serum, the FTC announced bloggers can no longer get secret kickbacks for pimping product. Wait... you mean I COULD HAVE BEFORE??? How the hell did I not know this?

Two things: first, I'm Canadian and the FTC has no power here; second, my Dyson DC 25 is a dust-sucking miracle. Did you know they're bagless? The patented Root Cyclone technology means no clogging, loss of suction or costly replacement bags. Also, the handheld looks like an alien ray gun:

As seen in District 9.

Do you have a product/service you'd like Words & Pictures to "review" and blindly endorse? If money's tight, maybe we could work out some sort of barter system.

What would an advertising site be without the fine print? Here goes: Any reference to actual brands on this site is for satirical purposes only and is in no way endorsed by their parent companies
or the agencies that represent them. Neither is any harm intended towards the aforementioned brands, companies and agencies. Quite the contrary — we may well come begging for a job one day.
And really, wouldn't you rather sue Adbusters?
