Cheaters never prosper

And I'll bet they thought they were soooo clever creating ghost ads with actual ghosts. I'd say more on the subject, but we already did the dead celebrity thing last year and I have a shitload of depressing songs to get to.

First, a huge thank you to everyone who responded to last week's call. I was quite literally overwhelmed, with my inbox choking on Mp3 files. My apologies to those whose e-mail bounced back as a result.

My original intent was to filter this list but I quickly realized that tragedy, like comedy, is subjective. If your parents told you they were getting divorced while Mmmbop was playing on the radio, who am I to say it's not a sad song? Which is not to say these songs didn't make me sad. On the contrary, I made the serious mistake of reading this story while listening to your submissions and holding my sick daughter. I was weeping by the third paragraph. By the sixth, I had completely lost control. I'm largely disinterested in hockey (by Canadian standards, anyway) but tonight I'll be rooting for the Sens in honour of that little boy.

The list:

Man... what a bummer. Happy birthday, Star Wars.

What would an advertising site be without the fine print? Here goes: Any reference to actual brands on this site is for satirical purposes only and is in no way endorsed by their parent companies
or the agencies that represent them. Neither is any harm intended towards the aforementioned brands, companies and agencies. Quite the contrary — we may well come begging for a job one day.
And really, wouldn't you rather sue Adbusters?
