Lame duck

If Jamie wasn't busy shooting in Uruguay I would have asked him to change my dialogue in panel two, because the more I think about it, the more I realize it has nothing to do with being high profile. As I once noted, there's nothing I can do to sell a product that a surly salesclerk can't undo with a single frown. Every single person who represents that brand to the consumer has the power to close the deal or fuck things up, from the guy in the branded truck who leans on the horn and swears at you in traffic (true story) to the spokesduck who apparently never heard that insurance companies will do whatever it takes to minimize risk.

For what it's worth, I think he was completely within his rights as a comedian and completely out of line as a corporate spokesman.

To be fair, though, had they never seen his act?

Fun fact: the man who told that joke has appeared in more than twenty Disney productions, including Hannah Montana, Aladdin on Ice and Disney Princess Enchanted Tales: Follow Your Dreams.
