Happy New Year, everybody!
With apologies to victims of mass murder and natural disasters, what an awesome year.
I slept in a medieval village while traveling through the Carpathians, swam with sharks in the Bahamas and walked the streets of Rome. The girls were in a particularly great mood that day, which is a shame because how cool would it be to say my daughters fought in the Colosseum?
Even better, I enjoyed an absurdly romantic weekend in Old Montreal, married my high school sweetheart (again) on the beach of Paradise Island and took summer off for the first time since I was a kid to play catch and build blanket forts.
Long story short, it didn't suck.
